400 Horsepower Supercharge BRZ FR-S GT86
Ace
Header, teamed with Delicious tuning and Counterspace Garage recently installed
the newly released BRZ FR-S GT86 Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger. Using Ace
Header’s Type A 350, Delicious Tunings E85 flex fuel kit and some performance
modifications from CSG the results were close to achieving 400 wheel
horsepower.
The
dyno being used is a DynaPack which measures actual horsepower by bolting up to
the rear hubs of the car. This eliminates wheel/tire and friction variables
which can often be used to mis-judge data.
While
Edelbrock maintains that if you use the stock CARB system to achieve 250+ HP,
by making simple modifications, 400+ HP is achievable. This figure is close to
the working limits of the FA20 motor and its rods and bearings but getting this
much power from bolt-on modifications is almost unattainable with any other
